Futurecop! have been on the very forefront of the scene since the dawn of this new retro music. Today they have dropped their long awaited new dreamwave album, full of dazzling synths and sinewave goodness.
Possibly their most relaxing work so far, the album has natural vibe throughout and keeps their sound evolving as it’s filled with the typical Futurecop! arpeggios, piano’s and deep basses, providing a slick production.
Fantasy is just oozing out, hence the title of the album that hints to some of their early work from back in 2009 (the EP “The Unicorn and The Lost City of Alvograth”). It’s fair to say that this dynamic duo has been on a long journey, perfecting their craft on the way to finally bring them back home, returning as kings to their beloved city of Alvograth.
Some O.G. synthwave right here, folks. The cover art is accompanying the release very well, too. Apart from the logo (done by Blood+Chrome), the artwork is fantastically excecuted by the infamous Zonders designer (who can be seen as the godfather of modern day graphic artists in the current synthwave scene).
